    An Orofacial Myofunctional Disorder (OMD) refers to abnormal function of the oral and facial muscles during swallowing and at rest. OMDs can affect your dental development, breathing, speech and swallowing abilities. Therapy targets improving ‘oral rest posture’ and tongue thrust swallowing.
